Tom,

Mark T. at the Chabot mirror making workshop omits the tile that hang over
the edge.  I've used a diamond saw (overkill) and I've even tried to score,
then break tile in a vise (it seems likes this should work better than it
does).  And I've just broken up a handfull of tile with a hammer then fit
in the best pieces.  From my experience the tile cutters work best.
