The telescope at the British Museum is a replica, made shortly after the
original. The original is missing, has been for some time. Speculation is
that it is in a private collection.

And while I'm at it, as I believe in giving credit where it is due. Newton
single handedly set back telescope development 200 years by crushing
Cassigrain when Cassigrain brought his telescope design to Newton for
analysis. Newton told him he would become a laughing stock if he
published. The two curve design had to wait two centures to be
re-invented. So, when a respected scientist blows off your new idea,
publish it anyway. Greatness, ego and jerk and often rolled into one.
