Not unanswered. I scan for beginner ATM questions every day and respond
by
private email with details of this list. Not because ATM is off-topic in
s.a.a.
but because such questions are "frequently asked" and the ATM list is a
better
resource.

It is a problem with usenet groups (and email lists) that the public
can't see 
private traffic, but the alternative increases public traffic.
