Here, here! I, too, wonder whatever happened to reading and studying
books. During the two months I have been a subscriber to this list I
have posted a few replies to earnest sounding folks with questions. But
a lengthy reply takes time to compose, edit, and fact check, and any one
of the standard texts has a better explanation than I can write
off-the-cuff. Therefore, I'm less inclined to respond to naive questions
now. My advice is buy a book and read it. ATMing is an intellectual
pursuit and without reference books is tantamount to going to sea
without charts. Gotta do your homework. On the other hand, if the
homework is too tough I'm happy to help. But I'm not an expert and I can
only report what has worked for me in the past. If you want expert help,
study Mr. Texereau's book. So all you tyros out there....order a mirror
kit and two books, read, and then get thyself grinding. Don't be afraid.
If you don't start it's like not going to sea at all.
