Hi Dave
 You or I might go this path but I don't think this is the
solution Sofjan is looking for. He'll spend less time and
most likely less money simply using the inverter with the
transformer he already has. It would be more elegant to
make an oscillator to feed an amplifier scrapped form
an old car radio ( I've got that radio in my car now )
but it won't serve him any better than
the off the shelf solution. I can think a lot of other ways
but for quick and simple, no.
