Re: ATM NEW 30 INCH FROM 1 INCH PLATE GLASS !

As list owner, I would rather not see a thousand messages that say "Wow"
or "Great work". A message's impact should not be measured by the
number of responses or by how long the thread continues.

The thinnest large mirror that I know of was a 48" x 1" plate glass that
John Wall in the UK sent me slides of a dozen years ago.

The most impressive thing about the 30" x 1" project is that we are
seeing amateurs do very large thin optics outside of the US more and
more.

Any large thin mirror is a major project, and those that complete it
join a very small select group of people. While large thin mirrors are
straightforward they are the results of big dreams coupled with major
fortitude.
