ATM and LIbRARIES

Anthony recently suggested donation of a book to your local library.   I
would like to discourage this unless you get a firm promise from the
library that the book will actually be placed on the shelf and in the
card catalog.   Without such a promise, they will merely dispose of it
for twenty five cents at the annual dead book sale.

That is the sad truth about how libraries work.   If you want to become
a real pessimist, just compare the number of astronomy books with the
number of astrology books.   Groovy, what's yer sighin', dood?
