HI there,
I am busy making a tool for polishing, out of Plaster of Paris.
I spray it with an Aerolac varnish and then put some bees wax on the face.
I use pressed comb foundation as the polish agent, in stead of tar/pitch.
I learnt that we have different names for things.
We call your "pitch" resin and our pitch is what you call Bitumen.
The bees wax was used for many years before other things were used.
The wax polishes slower, but it gives a fantastic finish and really great
optics.
