First, I hope you will realize that sending an encoded jpeg to a list
of 1300 people all over the world isn't such a good idea. But I'll let
the list owner to deal with that.
Baffling solution is interesting until one realizes that obstruction
has to be almost doubled in order for it to work. Fine by some,
distastrous if you ask me.
'Serrurier truss' has as far as I know NEVER been used in anything
smaller than 1m telescope, and definitely in none of the amateur
scopes. What is commonly seen is simply a TRUSS. Serrurier truss is
purposefully designed to flex equal amounts on both upper and lower
truss sections. Secondly, I really fail to understand how disposing of a
truss, with its extremely stiff triangular structure, can be improved
on by replacing it with weak cantilever type structure that works in
flexure mode.
Interesting, unusual, elegant - yes.
Good ? Er - open for discussion.
