I see only one photo of a Ronchi image.
That said, you read a Ronchi image this way.  The closer you are
to the ROC of the surface, the wider the lines will befor any
particular image.  Thus, if that photo was taken outside of the
ROC, then the lines, being wider apart at the ends will be closer
to the ROC of that area.  Thus, the hooks on the lines of the
photo, which are further apart than the rest of the lines, the
ROC of that edge is closer to the position of the grating which
is outside of the ROC of the center area and thus, you have a
typical TDE condition.
