In order for the assembly to tilt as you say, then the curved piece at #3 or #4 has to be the opposite of what is shown. This would decenter the mirror. Otherwise, #3 0r #4 has to be able to rotate perpendicular to the shaft. This would leave it without support at whatever end.
The diffraction spikes from 6mm vanes must be something to see!!!
