[ATM] Large thin disk's of Plate glass

David,   I will say that I have never had any experience with disk's as large and thin that you are talking about producing....I have seen a nice "ribbed" 3/4" x 24" from a guy in Canada, holding it up on this site a few years ago, but it had a ribbed base and backing..all glass and all fused...
     Slumping large thin disk's need a multitude of support's.. It can be done , but temp., support,and cool down are as important as a re-entry of a spacecraft...Then you will need a support to grind, and polish this Monster...this may be more complicated that the actual support you will need to support the Godzilla you have created....
