Hey Dan,
If it were me, I would wire brush it, warm the lap a bit and press with
fiberglass window screen or wedding veil or citrus fruit netting (this
will help keep from trapping air in the "indentations"), wire brush
again then press until you have good contact... then polish to your
heart's content.

I have a lap that has been stored for a few months that I am ready to
start using again, but I noticed that a few facets have ~1/8"
indentations from the wrinkled aluminum foil that was covering it (it
gets fairly warm in my house during the summer). I am done polishing
and working on figuring the mirror. I think that the indentations are
too deep to press out. Should I be concerned about these deformities?
