Re: [ATM] flex rocker azimuth stickiness

I would concur...Ebony star is overrated with the flex
rocker/trilateral dob style mount. I have similar
issues with my 16 inch tri-dob. Car wax on the
laminate is an option, but it wears off surprisingly
quickly. You might consider swapping out one or more
of your laminate/teflon surfaces with roller bearings.

I'm in the piney woods of Texas for the holidays
(GREAT to be back home!) and spent two nights last
week under the dark skies and stars with my 16 inch
and my brother's 8 inch GEM mounted newt. My brother's
drooling over the difference--I had to explain
"aperature fever". <grin>

Safe New Year to Y'all!
