Sorry Bob, you're not strictly correct. Like dispatch and despatch, or
crotch and crutch, the words are derivative and can be used
interchangeably. If you want a pet hate, start slating your
countrymen for saying your (possessive pronoun) when they mean you're
(abbreviation of you are) :)
