Fascinating topic, yet has absolutely nothing to do with telescope 
making. I'd rather talk about using sidewalk astronomy to get people 
into ATMing! Last star party I did resulted in one young man deciding to 
grind glass. It seems to me kids are more apt to try it - the adults I 
talk to all say "oh I could never do that" and don't even try.
