I kind of like it too. Hard to imagine someting more compact. There is a 
two-mirror "extension" to it, if you replace the flat with a convex sphere. 
With the secondary magnification of 2, all the radii - the one for the two 
lens elements, the primary and the secondary - are identical. No need for 
prescriptions; just set the system focal length, and your radius is half of 
it. I call this arrangement the lazy Joe's two-mirror Houghton. The system 
is aplantic, and astigmatism low. Some field curvature, but a nice system 
overall (you can see more details on the site). Wish it would have smaller 
obstruction. But, then, if it would, I'd have nothing to wish for - the 
worst curse of all...
