As I recall, a huge amount of pitch is recovered in the process of
making paper from trees.  I have no idea whether Gugolz uses this raw
material source.  I know the paper industry actually goes on to use a
fair amount of the resulting rosin as binder in paper sizing.  Sizing is
used to make paper suitable as a base for high quality printing.  It is
what makes glossy magazine paper glossy.
