That's because BVC sounds so much better than BDC or BDVC.

I have to concur with Tom's comments about the material responding in a 
"rubbery" manner.  I heard him use that description a year or two ago, and I 
laughed at how well it described working with the material.

Very soft..
Very sensitive to the quality of support during polishing
Grind the back flat, you'll regret it if you don't
God only knows if your blank is strained... it's black!
Great material to work with, overall.  I got through my 14" in no time...
