Dale,

Why is it that the general deformation is the same for two pegs, one peg or
a sling? I would expect totally different patterns, but it's all three
folds. How can you tell that the deformation you measure/calculate is
actually caused by the supports?
I know I 've suggested this before, but if you're sure about the mirror
being L/20, could there be an artefact of the way you process the
measurements?
Otherwise, what is your explanation?
