[ATM] Off Topic, Spam or Virus warning
Me too but I don't see what she/he gets other than a valid email and they already have that. If she is real, well I'll take that chance... The fact that she got the type of scope attached to my name (Houghton) says she/they did some work or has a better than average program.
On my commercial account I've gone from 60 plus Spams per day to about 6. For those wishing to cut down on spam may I suggest the following-
www.spamcop.com will decode the spam and report to ISP. Most ISPs will then shut down the site.
enforcement@sec.gov forward stock related spam (penny stocks)
uce@ftc.gov Just to report spam (and I would never unsubscribe this address so the spammer self reports :-)
http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp FBI internet fraud
webcomplaints@ora.fda.gov prescription medications without a physician's prescription
There are others, but that's most of the ones I get.
Get and use a spyware tool (I use Spybot, but there are others) and you might want to use Firefox instead of MS Explorer (seems to have fewer holes...) Use the message rules to block key words (hint, those mis-spelled drug names are good as are web site links).
No connections to the above except as a user... It will take 2-4 weeks to see full results, your results may vary.
Back to ATMing?
