Re: [ATM] What adhesive for tiles on a plaster tool?
If you're doing rough grinding with your tile tool, you're probably going to
have to rebuild it when it gets to the 120 grit stage if not before.
I've always just buried the tiles in the tool and not worried about any
gluing or epoxying of the tiles to the tool. Any tile that is fully
contained in the tool has never fallen out of any of the many, many tools
that I've done. Tiles that had a significant surface on a side that was
clear of any stone do have a tendency to fall out in the coarse stage where
the shocks are severest on the the tiles.
Working with 60 grit is work that should be done with a small ring tool made
of iron or such stuff. Working with the tiles may end up even just breaking
them up with the coarsness of the grit.
