I purchased a 6" f/5 mirror a few years ago to demonstrate mirror
testing for Astronomy Day. I presume the mirror was from China by
the material it was packed in. The mirror was almost a spheroid,
with a rather deep hole in the middle. While the seller claimed
1/4 wave, mirror was
the worst commercial mirror I had ever seen. I exchanged it, but
second one was about the
same.
