qRe: [ATM] What filters are best/language

The use of ND filters at the focal plane are plainly stupid. No doubt about
it as the scope will magnify the intensity of the sun's intensity well
enough to destroy the eye in short order.
Even my 200" refractor, which produces an image of the sun of 2+" of
diameter, I'd not want to make the light reduction filter at the focal plane
as the image of the sun eventually reduces the 4.25" diameter of the
aperture to something that fairly fills the eyepiece is more than what the
viewing of the sun directly (enough to cause eye damage over a few moments)
will cause in the way of damage.
Be carefull of what you do concerning the viewing of the sun as once you get
a burn on the eyeball, you will then forever after not be able to use that
part of the eye's detection system to see anything.
