Eric, your mirror is so stiff compared to the approximately 25:1 that is
being discussed that you won't have a problem with flexing but you may have
a problem if you don't keep the mirror and tool properly rotating as you
grind and polish.  Any errors that you may have will be on the 1/100th wave
or less from the glass flexing.
