No doubt about it: standing in front of any telescope may produce atmospheric distortion.

But images in a binocular telescope are so dramatically improved you would probably
discount those plumes even if you did notice them --  even though, for some reason,
exhaling rates of binocular telescope users are twice those of monocular users.
