Hi all:
I have just received a 12.5 " F5 coated mirror for
my new dob project ,but I think I'm must wait a few
months for finishing the truss tube ,the mount,the
steppers...
This is no my first proyect: I have succesfully
finished two fiberglass OTA (epoxi mirror cells included) for 10"
mirrors ,and I know that sometimes I haven't all the time I
want I to work on it.
My question is very simple. Must I unpack the
mirror?
The mirror is packet with soft tissue paper in contact
with the aluminized surface.My dealer told me that there is not a SiO coat on
it . I wonder if the tissue`s pattern can be transfered in
some way to its surface.
I have bought a isulated box to store it but i prefer to know
your opinion about this.
