You can make great baffles out of open cell foam, the common stuff used for padding and cushions. Air passes right through it. A 3/4 inch thickness (becomes baffle height) is about right. Cut strips maybe an inch wide with a razor, dye the strips black with fabric dye, then form them into annular rings using a squeeze fit in the tube. -- Aart Olsen aolsen@prairienet.org
