ATM Fecker scope

Our club may acquire a scope that I'd like info on.

It is a 6" f/15 Celestar by F.W. Fecker

I've looked through a scope with a 12" Fecker mirror at the Keene (NH)
Astronomical society and it was superb.
Fecker, I gather made some rather large commercial mirrors in the 20's & 30's.
This one is from the 50's and there are pictures in S & T from that era

What is the optical configuration?
I've heard it is a Schmidt Newtonian, but the ocular is near the bottom of
the tube.  
Is it a folded Schmidt-Cass? or is the secondary a flat?  Unlikely.

Our Mentor says it was a good scope. Anybody use one? Got one?
