I would use a more stringent test than that. The Airy disk can be 
seen at focus by some pretty bad mirrors- you'll see diffraction 
rings but it's difficult to tell if they're in the right proportions.

I would try stuff such as seeing if you can easily make out Jupiter's 
Red Spot and cloud belts on Saturn with your scope, if you can't do a 
star test. If you or someone you know can do a star test, that would 
be my preference.
