RE: ATM 7/8th thick

Hi Joe,

I'm working on a 16" plate glass f/4.6 and let me tell you it's tough. I
finished polishing and am at the figuring stage. But when I'm finished I
will be pleased. I cheated and put the blank in the scope on Sunday and
took a look. I was amazed at the light it gathers. the thing wasn't
collimated but the street lights look good. Take a look

There should not be a problem. Use a long plastic door mat when grinding
and you should be fine. As for the figuring I will keep trying.

How big has anyone gone with 7/8ths thick plate yet.

And for a thin mirror first timer how big would you
all think of recommending?
