Re: ATM Machine pulley/turntable flanges




I made something like this from a pair of threaded pipe flanges joined by a 3"
long threaded pipe nipple, hacksawed in half.
You then cut a 3" length of slip-fit steel rod and JB-Weld it in to one half of
the pipe.
Once it's cured, apply some lithium grease to the rod, and true the assembly by
filing the bottom of the flanges.

My turntable uses this JB-Welded, and rides on three wheels-up casters.

It would take a lot of gear reduction to do direct drive, but belt drive works
well.
I used a large truck fanbelt to connect a small gearmotor pulley to a very large
router-grooved plywood pulley screwed into the bottom of the turntable.
