Re: ATM Six inch F/10 - good for planetary views?

I built a 6" f/11 a few years back and use it almost exclusively for all my
telescopic work. I've seen Uranus through it but it was an unimpressive
tiny pale blue dot with no "disc" appearance. Neptune only appeared as a
very dim star with no color visible. I've only once thought I saw Pluto but
I didn't have adequate star charts to confirm. I've since tried several
times under more favorable conditions and have not been able to get it so
it's probably not reachable, even with finer figured 6" systems.
