No, they're talking about glasses (or contacts, I hope) that are locally
figured to correct microaberrations in the cornea and eye lens.  They
use a laser or some kind of optical sensor to measure the aberration at
(last I checked) some 32 or 64 locations in the FOV, and then make
lenses that compensate for all of those aberrations.  I recall reading
that even the first experimental ones gave 20/15 vision, on average, and
there was a likelihood of being able to eventually sell soft contacts
that would give anyone the kind of vision Chuck Yeager was legendary
for.
