I believe that the first thing you should do is make sure that the laser itself
is not causing the beam to wander. You need to put the laser into a couple of
solid V-blocks, aim it at a nearby wall, and see if you get any movement of the
beam when you rotate the laser collimator itself. If all looks good at this
point, then you might want that Crayford.
