Hey Gary, Where you able to find a super flat steel plate? I looked at some, but they never looked totally flat. I ended up using a disc of 2 inch thick honeycomb aluminum mounted on a 30" Dia. custom bearing I dug up from JPL - probably a bit overkill, just the bearing weights 100 lbs. What kind of machine are you building? Paulo
