Re: ATM Daisy Finder
On the Daisy finder I modified, there is a small plastic ring tacked into
the barrel just in front of the lens (nearest the stars). I used an Exacto
knife to break the weak glue seal, and popped the ring and the lens out.
The muriatic acid idea seems like a good approach... don't use anything
more abrasive than a Q-tip on the lens, though -- no erasers.
You will get a double reflection of the red LED (from the two surfaces of
the lens). Just pick the one you want to use for an aiming point, and stick
with it!
