i wouldn't recommend it, i made this mistake myself.

You could find parts of the surface that are quite good, say lambda/4 but
most of the surface barely gets to lambda/1 or worse.

I made the promise to myself not to use these ever again.

But if you are lucky to have a very good part, you could give it a try
before ordering/making it yourself.
