ATM Aluminum Oxide
I poured my first pitch-lap last night from my supply of inherited
materials. I used some old (but never used) William-Bell medium Burgundy
pitch, it appears to be the correct consistency to my inexperienced
knowledge. In my collection of inherited polishing agents I have quantities
of 12, 5, and 3 micron William-Bell Aluminum Oxide. Am I correct in
thinking that Aluminum Oxide isn't as popular as Cerium Oxide now a days?
Is there anything undesirable about this stuff? I also have a very small
quantity of Cerox. Should go through the various Aluminum Oxides and finish
off with the Cerox? I also got a large bag of William Bell Black Rouge, I
have never heard anybody speak of this on the list, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Kurt Sidor
