Hello,

Everyone has a different idea of what normal means. If your idea of normal
looking telescopes are uncomplicated, more or less "standard" Dobsonians, then
check out http://www.mdpub.com.scopeworks. You will find photos of a regular 8in.
Dob.

You will also find photos of a perfectly normal 17.5 in. truss tube Dob, and an
absolutely ordinary 8in. truss  tube Newt. on a ball mount.
