Over the last couple years there have been some old very
large photocopiers used in engineering shops to copy
big drawings de-commissioned. I have picked up lenses
from two different types in surplus shops. One of these
has a 450mm F4 lense. It is very nicely color corrected and
I mounted it in a 6 inch aluminum thick wall tube and
it has made a nice wide field scope.
The second is a lot more interesting. The basic lense is about
100 mm in diameter with about 680 mm focal length. It has in
front of this a plano-concave whose position is adjustable. The
P-C lense is about 7 inches in diameter (Yup a 7 inch barlow)
