Michael:

I use the every 2-3 minutes or so routine, in terms of adding fresh
polishing compounds, you want to maintain agressive polishing as much as
possible, especially early in the process, though when you are smoothing
out to a sphere, and then parabolizing, you will want to slow things
down with watered down cerium, or maybe rouge, if your brave, and not
married...
