Peter,
I saw the binox in question, but admit I did not spend a huge
amount of time examining them. The objectives were 10" f/12 doublets, and
the twin tubes were mounted on the RA axis of an AP 1200 mount.
I took a look through them during the day when they were viewing
the towers on top of Mt. Ascutney, but it was very hazy and the seeing was
awful. I also had trouble merging the two images. The skies were not very
clear Saturday night, and I spent what time we had viewing through other
scopes and did not get back to the binox.
                                                Clear skies, Alan
