FYI - I have it on good authority that aluminum powder is explosive, so beware 
to anyone considering using it!

A month or 2 ago, someone on this list asked me where he could purchase
Al powder, and (at that time) the only source I knew of was chemical
supply companies.  The problem with chemical supply companies is that
they have a policy of _not_ selling chemicals to individuals.  I don't
know if the Al powder from Gougeon would be suitable for anything but as
a filler for epoxy, but it would be cheap enough to try some.
