ATM SHSU Tinsley Cassegrain telescope



Hope this is not too far off-topic.

The Sam Houston State University is relocating their off-campus
observatory & are replacing their 16" Tinsley Baker/Cassegrain
with a Meade 16" S-C.

The Tinsley telescope, on a HUGE german eq mount suitable for a 36"
I think, will be excessed as part of the relocation. It has the
following features:

Parabolic f5 primary, f15 Cassegrain focus, recently recoated optics.

Baker-corrector removable front assembly, with 4x5 film capacity, f3.6

24" approx sidereal polar drive gear 18" Byers dec gear Large
dec tangent arm guide motion. New stepper drive electronics.
