Re: ATM Bath interferometer

I would strongly dissuade you from using the half silvered diagonal as the
set up requires you to match up two bright disks (the return beams from
the mirror) and with the laser the brightness may be more than your eyes
can take. That is the reason I decided not to go ahead with the laser
setup -my eyesight is too important.Cut the light down to next to nothing
if you can other wise use some sort of ground glass screen when looking
for the return beams. The laser might be used to align the white light
setup for faster results, but BEWARE of any laser light!

P.S. A ground glass screen can be made from a piece of plexiglass that
has rubbed down with say 220 grit.(a piece of clear plexiglass to start).
