Seeing is a very important factor in the visability of an object. I have
seen the central star in the Ring Nebula while using a perfect C-5 in
perfect conditions. But, on the other hand, the central star in the Ring
Nebula was undetectable in, was it a 36" or was it a 40", at Mc Donald
observatory.

Remember that I implied a space platform from which we were observing, no
seeing problems with the aformentioned 44". Right.
