Andy, et. al.,

The stuff I found was Ace Hardware's spray enamel, "Wrought Iron Flat Black
#17003."  It appears to me to be very similar to the Krylon ultra-flat
#1602.  The salesman represented it to me as "...the same thing..." and that
they had to replace the Krylon since it was not manufactured any longer.  I
cannot verify that the two are exactly the same.
