ATM 4.25-inch Spheres, Aluminum Disks

Small Spheres, Aluminum Disks --

We hope to have two grinding stands available at
AstroFest so if Mr. Schmidling would care to bring
a blank and disk set, well, we just might have a
place to put it! Sounds great to me!

Back in the mid-1980s I bought three, 4.25-inch,
f/10 spheres from Jaegers (those were the days!)
and even though they had some flaws (a "ring" at
about the 60 percent zone), they were pretty smooth
and created quite good images, even at high power.
I would really be interested in looking through a
4.25-inch, f/8.0 sphere with a good figure and good
polish. As for an ALUMINUM verison, well, that
would be positively HERSCHELLIAN!

I just hope it's not AQUAFEST this year!
