Hi y'all
I am about to attach a fairly small (1.5" minor axis) diagonal mirror to
the spider mounting plate in a 6" f/4 reflector.
I've read in the past about people using silicon adhesive (or caulking)
used to seal all those nasty little gaps around the bathtub.
This seems to me to be a very elegant way of doing it rather than using
fiddly clips etc.
I was just wondering whether there are any disadvantages to using it such
as removal of the flat for realuminising or sudden failure due to
condensation penetrating the seal etc.
